Join us in our first in-person Recruitment + Admissions Forum since lockdown

We are delighted to announce that our focus will be closing the gaps, be it in attainment, diversity, teaching and learning, or opportunity. Delivering keynotes, expert panels and debate, the Forum will enable members to discuss and workshop the latest thinking, solutions and best practice.

With keynote speaker Lee Elliot Major OBE – the UK’s first Professor of Social Mobility –  and a host of sector experts on EDI, personal statements, learning gain and more.

This event is suitable for staff at all levels in engineering departments who share the responsibility for attracting, selecting, admitting and retaining students. Other engineering staff with an interest in professional development, raising attainment, identifying and meeting the needs of students, and learning gain are also welcome.

This is an in-person event, heavily discounted (at checkout) for members. With thanks to our hosts, Arden University, who have generously provided the venue and lavish lunch.

Join EPC’s resident sector data expert, Stella Fowler, to get your first taste of a new EPC member perk we just know you won’t be able to get enough of.

There will be a meeting of the Engineering Ethics Toolkit Advisory Group from 16:00-17:30 on Thursday 29th September.

Educating for Sustainability: Innovative engineering curriculum empowering students to develop sustainable solutions that drive the circular economy

Siemens logo

Siemens sees enormous concern for sustainable development amongst youth all over the world, but little direction or support dedicated to empowering them to solve the world’s challenges. This may be contributing to a sense of hopelessness which is, in turn, leading to diminishing enrollment and attrition in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) programs at the tertiary level.

Siemens drives sustainable innovation by seamlessly combining the real and the digital worlds as digitalization is the key enabler of the circular economy. As a core tenant of its DEGREE framework, Siemens will enable the technical education of their customers’ future employees and peers to address global sustainability challenges.
