Spotlight on complex systems: Using a participatory modelling approach to urban regeneration

Our Complex Systems Toolkit teaching resource “Using a participatory modelling approach to urban regeneration” explores complex interactions in a system through participatory modelling methods.

This is an approach used in group settings to explore complex issues and represent them via models. In this activity, students assume the roles of stakeholders involved in an urban regeneration project and take part in a group model-building workshop. It addresses related INCOSE Competencies and AHEP 4 themes.

We’ve provided this and other practical Teaching resourcesKnowledge articles and Guidance articles for you to use and adapt, and to make it simple for you to embed complex systems concepts into your teaching.
