Fewer than five weeks until Congress – grab one of five remaining free early career staff spaces

With fewer than five weeks until Engineering Academics Network Congress 2024, we invite early career staff to make the most of the five remaining sponsored ECS spaces.

The EPC is committed to the development of early career staff. As part of this commitment, we are pleased to offer, in partnership with the Institution of Engineering & Technology, ten totally free spaces at EPC Congress – including accommodation – for eligible ECS applicants, on a first come, first served basis. Only five of these spaces remain. Applications are now open.

Congress is an excellent and unrivalled chance for early career staff to develop knowledge, insight into best practice and academic networks. Experienced academics often recommend the opportunity to their ECS colleagues.

The 2024 Congress theme is Engineers for the future, showcased by Cardiff University who welcome us to Wales from 9th to 11th June.

Among the high-profile, expert speakers this year we have Dr Nike Folayan MBE (Founder, Association of Black & Minority Ethnic Engineers), Mary Curnock Cook CBE (Dyson Institute), Prof John Chudley (Chair, Engineering Council), Prof Amanda Kirby (neurodiversity guru), Kate Bellingham (former Tomorrow’s World presenter, academic and STEM champion) and more.

The programme is also packed with fun and formal events including Congress Dinner at the National Museum of Wales, a tour of Cardiff Bay Barrage, student competitions and networking events.

Our early career staff offer is obviously very popular, so ECS staff who miss out on the EPC-sponsored spaces can book for just £149 on the early bird discount.

For eligibility and application details go to epc.ac.uk, select the early career staff offer tab, and register. We hope to see you there.
