Young Engineers Fieldworker

Full time – London, South East and the South West

Salary range £24,000 – £28,000 depending on experience

Young Engineers is one of the UK’s leading charities that promotes engineering and technology to young people. As a result of business growth we are seeking an additional individual with a science and engineering background to take on a delivery role within our team.

Initially the position involves running practical activity workshops in schools which enable students to apply their Science, Maths and Technology skills in an engineering context. Students should come away from the activities excited by their newly acquired skills and enthused about engineering and their future.

We need an organised, enthusiastic and creative individual with excellent practical and communication skills.  They need to be proactive, an innovative thinker and enjoy working with young people.

The ideal candidate would either be a university student, teacher or professional engineer or someone who has experience in working with young people, particularly in a practical STEM related environment. You should also have a good understanding of the current education system and be passionate about enthusing the next generation of engineers.

The position involves extensive travel across the London, South East and South West regions and a full driving licence and car ownership are essential to the role.  Some nights away from home will also be required.
