Each year one of the ACED (Association of Civil Engineering Departments) members hosts a 2-day conference open to all, whether academic or industrial, involved in developing and delivering JBM accredited degree programmes. ACED exists to promote excellence in the teaching of Civil Engineering students and to provide a forum for debate about important issues of interest to students, academics and industry.

Topics this year include: Employer engagement, student support, problem based learning, apprenticeships, JBM accreditation updates, professional body engagement, use of reality capture to engage students.

Tickets are available online for only £174.95 each (with additional delegates from the same organisation able to book for £90)

Accommodation
The official Conference Hotel is the Holiday Inn Bolton. The hotel is located in the centre of Bolton, near the train station and the conference premises. Upon booking, kindly let the receptionist know that you are attending the ACED 2018 Conference. A list of all registered participants will be given at the hotel.
Parking Information
For delegates that plan to drive to University of Bolton, external car parking space is available. Both parking spaces are within easy walking distance of the University. Please see below:

Registration & Welcome Desk
The Conference Registration and Information desk is located in the Senate House, Main reception. Registration, with light refreshments, opens at 09:00.
Dinner/Lunch
The Conference dinner will be held on Thursday 8th at Bolton’s neoclassical Victorian town hall, ten minutes walking distance from the hotel. The Albert Halls, Victoria Square, Bolton BL1 1RU. Click here to see map.
